PARENTS: Pacific Islander-Focused Parent Training series 9-29-11 to 12-15-11

NCPP supports the work of its Partners, the County of San Mateo, South San Francisco Unified School District, and Asian American Recovery Services in this series of parent trainings targeted to Pacific Islander families.  Although the trainings are culturally specific to Pacific Islanders, they are open to ALL families.  Activities for youth will be provided while parents are in sessions.

YOUTH: Clear The Air Film Festival 10-19-2011

Breathe California, one of NCPP’s newest Partners, is offering a chance for aspiring, high-school-aged filmmakers to win up to $1000 for creating a 5-minute film that best answers the question: “What can my generation do to protect lung health?”  Get those cameras rolling for this great cause!

COMMUNITY: Passport to Health Fair 10-1-2011

NCPP Partners Daly City Youth Health Center (DCYHC), Asian American Recovery Services (AARS), Pacifica Partnership, and Jefferson Union High School District (JUHSD) collaborate with others to bring you the Passport to Health Health Fair.  We will be offering screenings for blood pressure, body-mass index (BMI), nutrition, safety demonstrations, and will present on disaster preparedness.  Come take a tour of the DCYHC clinic, and enjoy music, prizes, activities, games, and more!  Free shuttle service will be provided by AARS staff for folks living in the Bayshore.

PHOTOS: Youth Leadership Institute 20th Anniversary Gala 9-15-2011

NCPP attended YLI’s 20th Anniversary Gala to celebrate our Partner’s extensive commitment to Youth Development and excellence.  Located in City Hall of San Francisco, the event was fun, hip, energetic, and full of dedicated staff, amazing youth, fabulous chefs, and generous supporters.  NCPP is proud to work with such a great organization of passionate adult allies.  Check out the photos!
