COMMUNITY: Behind the Smiles 04-26-2012

Behind the Smiles is a forum by the Filipino Mental Health Initiative, in collaboration with the Autism Hearts Foundation to raise awareness of health issues in the Filipino community. Health issues from mental illness to substance abuse are often hidden and ignored in the Filipino community. The goal of Behind the Smiles will be to educate and provide resources for those within the community, by overcoming the stigma of looking for help.

LGBTQQIA: Celebrating the Life of Rae Tapia 05-01-2012

NCPP cordially invites you to attend this celebration of the life of Rae Tapia, a transgendered youth from Woodside High School who took her own life last year as a result of struggles related to her identity.  Join the community in exploring solutions and finding ways to heal and grow from this experience.

PARTNER EVENTS: Teen Driver Safety Night April 12, 2012

Do your parents get nervous whenever you’re behind the wheel? Have you ever wondered if there was a way to prove to them, you know what you’re doing? Fear no more! Visit Oceana High School April 12, 2012 from 6:30-8pm  for a Teen Driver Safety Night. Representatives from Farmers Insurance Group and the Pacifica Police Department will be there presenting driver safety tips and answering questions. Ease their fears and brush up on teen driving laws.
