Paopao Blessing at SCDC 6-6-14

NCPP Staff went to support our partners at the Samoan Community Development Center (SCDC) in San Francisco for their blessing of the logs to be used in making a traditional Samoan paopao (dugout boat) on Friday June 6,2014.  A Samoan elder chief presided over the ceremony and offered some words of gratitude and blessings for the people who will be involved in crafting the boat.  After the ceremony, guests were treated to traditional dances, followed by lunch.
