The Daly City-Pacifica Partnership (DCPP) has evolved over several years alongside The Partnership for a Safe and Healthy Pacifica, which was formed in response to a tragic automobile crash in 2005 that claimed the lives of two local youth. Through a community-based partnership grant from the Behavioral Health & Recovery Services Department of San Mateo County, Asian American Recovery Services (AARS), the Jefferson Union High School District (JUHSD), and Youth Leadership Institute (YLI) sought to develop connections between various stakeholders in Daly City and Pacifica in an effort to collectively reduce the influence and harms of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs (ATOD) in the community to prevent further tragedies.
