Prevention Training Academy Film Series: Chasing Heroin

FRONTLINE looks at America’s heroin crisis in a fresh and provocative light — telling the stories of individual addicts, but also illuminating the epidemic’s years-in-the-making social context, deeply examining shifts in drug policy, and exploring what happens when addiction is treated like a public health issue, not a crime.

Join us for a screening and discussion.

Date and Time: Wednesday August 23, 2017 from 6pm-8pm PDT.

Location: 225 37th Avenue Room 100, San Mateo, CA 94403.

This film series is brought to you by The Community Health Promotion Unit of San Mateo County Health System.

San Mateo County Health System Tobacco Survey & Focus Groups

Hi Folks!  Just wanted to share some information from our partners with the San Mateo County Tobacco Prevention Program!  Please read below.

“The San Mateo County Health System is conducting a study to better understand tobacco use among Filipino youth. Tobacco use at any age is dangerous for your health and 99% of smokers first try smoking before age 26 — Filipino youth included. Help us reduce the number of Filipino youth smokers by clicking on the link below and completing the short survey. The survey should take no more than 10 minutes to complete and your participation is completely voluntary. All are welcome to participate!”  -Grace Dadios, Intern/Fellow, San Mateo County Chronic Disease and Injury Prevention Unit
