Photos from the 2nd NCPP Town Hall Event for Daly City & Pacifica, titled:  “Turnt Up or Turn Down For What: The Choice Is Yours — Community Solutions Supporting Healthy Habits” on Wednesday January 28, 2015 at the Jefferson Union High School District office, Galleria Room.

Daly City Youth Health Center Fundraiser Breakfast 11-4-2014

This morning, NCPP and Asian American Recovery Services (a program of HealthRIGHT 360) staff attended the Daly City Youth Health Center fundraiser breakfast at Outback Steakhouse in Daly City.  Many partner agencies were also in attendance, including: Daly City Library & Recreation Services; and Jefferson Union High School District teachers, counselors, board members, and administrators.  NCPP and HealthRIGHT 360 is proud to support the work of our partners in providing comprehensive sexual health education and services, as well as basic medical clinic needs for youth.

BTC Attends San Mateo Friday Night Live Open House 10-20-2014

Be The Change (BTC) youth council joined other San Mateo Friday Night Live (FNL) chapters at the Open House event on Monday 10/20/2014 at Sequoia High School in Redwood City.  Other FNL chapters included youth from East Palo Alto (Youth EPA), Redwood City (Project Voice), and Sequoia High (The REAL).  Youth Leadership Institute staff facilitated the event and provided networking opportunities for the youth to meet each other.

Members of Be The Change (BTC) youth coalition attended the San Mateo County Friday Night Live (FNL) Open House event at Sequoia High School in Redwood City on 10/20/14.

 

BTC Picnic at San Bruno Park 7-17-2014

NCPP Staff celebrated with Be The Change youth collaborative at San Bruno Park.  We BBQed hot dogs and burgers, and relaxed with some board games, music, and great company.  BTC members received a certificate of appreciation, and a stipend for their policy advocacy work to reduce the harm of alcohol in Daly City and Pacifica.

Paopao Blessing at SCDC 6-6-14

NCPP Staff went to support our partners at the Samoan Community Development Center (SCDC) in San Francisco for their blessing of the logs to be used in making a traditional Samoan paopao (dugout boat) on Friday June 6,2014.  A Samoan elder chief presided over the ceremony and offered some words of gratitude and blessings for the people who will be involved in crafting the boat.  After the ceremony, guests were treated to traditional dances, followed by lunch.
