BTC Attends San Mateo Friday Night Live Open House 10-20-2014

Be The Change (BTC) youth council joined other San Mateo Friday Night Live (FNL) chapters at the Open House event on Monday 10/20/2014 at Sequoia High School in Redwood City.  Other FNL chapters included youth from East Palo Alto (Youth EPA), Redwood City (Project Voice), and Sequoia High (The REAL).  Youth Leadership Institute staff facilitated the event and provided networking opportunities for the youth to meet each other.

Internship Opportunity for High School Students (Canada College Upward Bound). Apply Now!

Canada College Upward Bound is looking for high school students interested in becoming leaders and going to college. The program and services are geared to assist low-income and first-generation college students prepare for college. Students must be freshmen, sophomores, or juniors in Fall 2013. The summer program runs at Cañada College starting June 17th and ends on July 31st. It runs like a regular summer school and students can get up to 7.5 units of high school credit and is completely free.  They can come and do a presentation in your classroom or program.
