Hi Folks! Just wanted to share some information from our partners with the San Mateo County Tobacco Prevention Program! Please read below.
“The San Mateo County Health System is conducting a study to better understand tobacco use among Filipino youth. Tobacco use at any age is dangerous for your health and 99% of smokers first try smoking before age 26 — Filipino youth included. Help us reduce the number of Filipino youth smokers by clicking on the link below and completing the short survey. The survey should take no more than 10 minutes to complete and your participation is completely voluntary. All are welcome to participate!” -Grace Dadios, Intern/Fellow, San Mateo County Chronic Disease and Injury Prevention Unit

The NCPP is collaborating with two prevention partnerships in the county (One East Palo Alto and Youth Leadership Institute) along with the San Mateo County Health System.
In an effort to reduce teen alcohol abuse, retail stores selling alcohol will be posting signs stating that alcohol can only be bought by persons 21 years old or over.
These signs will be translated into multiple languages, and in order to ensure the accuracy of these translations, we would much appreciate it if anyone speaking Arabic, Burmese, Chinese, Farsi, Korean, Portuguese, Russian , Samoan, Spanish ,Tagalog , Tongan, or Vietnamese reviews the messages for the retail signage campaign!
