NEWS: $100,000 grant awarded from California Alcoholic Beverage Control to battle alcohol-related crime

On July 8, 2013, The Pacifica Police Department announced that the California Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) awarded the <21 Consumption of Alcohol Suppression Team (COAST) Task Force with a $100,000 grant. The grant will fund enforcement activities that will improve the quality of life in neighborhoods by putting bad operators out of business, keeping alcohol away from minors, and penalizing businesses that violate the law. Some police agencies that are involved are Brisbane PD, Broadmoor PD, Daly City PD, South San Francisco PD, and San Mateo PD.

  • No income eligibility requirements

Jobs for Youth is designed to help youth develop their job search skills. Services that are offered to youth include job preparation workshops that teach youth about resume building and interview preparation, mock interviews with youth employment counselors, job referrals to hiring employers, and volunteer and paid internship opportunities. There is also a special scholarship fund that provides college and vocational scholarships.
